The masks made compulsory by the global Wuhan Virus now stand as a powerful symbol of this time. We were forced to wear these masks and stay home, even still, as the public health authorities’ pronouncements have been proven to be agenda-driven and false. The now-discredited World Health Organization says now that the spread of the virus by asymptomatic people is very rare (Captain Obvious). I am reminded at this moment of the comment that: “forcing a contagious person to be locked in is quarantine. Forcing a healthy person to stay locked in is tyranny.”. But we did as we were told, because we can mostly be counted on to do ‘the right thing’.
So suddenly, we all had to wear masks. They were in short supply, since China had vacuumed up all inventory globally, but we started making masks. And we improvised, in an effort to be good citizens, and to keep Grandma from dying. Many mindless people wore a mask while driving alone in their car. People were loudly and publicly shamed for going outdoors or into a public space without a mask. But now, suddenly, and without skipping a beat, this mask phenomenon has seamlessly morphed into a new utility. Now, we see thousands of anarchist criminals burning, looting, destroying inner city businesses, assaulting and even killing shop owners. They’re wearing masks, but it’s not to prevent the spread of a disease, it is to hide their faces while they perpetuate the spread of a much deadlier disease: a violent leftist ideology committed to exploit a momentum to push for the radical overthrow of a populist, elected government.
Black Lives Matter. Yes, but why stop there? Why is it considered by some as a racist and outrageous assault for us to suggest that ‘all lives matter’ ?
We need more rational and honest discussion of this political movement that takes on the zealotry and trappings of a religion. This movement tolerates no dissent or opposing views. They have hijacked a righteous protest over the murder of a citizen by a rogue cop (now, properly in custody for murder) in order to foment chaos and anarchy to undermine the democratic process and rule of law. None of this is intended to minimize bigotry or discrimination by any persons against any others on the basis of any identity. Certainly, there has been racial discrimination on both sides of the racial gap. This BLM / racial justice movement is about a cynical group of opportunists exploiting the momentum of the moment to push their cause. They are seizing the moment. They are building on and updating the old Saul Alinsky playbook. In his take-no-prisoners philosophy, he promulgated a dozen or so rules for effective insurgency:
- “Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”
- “Never go outside the expertise of your people.”
- “Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy.”
- “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
- “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
- “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
- “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”
- “Keep the pressure on.”
- “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
- “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.”
- “If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.”
- “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”
- “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
To this, I suggest they have recently added:
- Corrupt the youth when they are vulnerable and trying to develop an understanding of the world around them
- Leverage guilt, fear, imagery and emotion to drive the narrative
- Gaslight, gaslight, gaslight
- Dox, or threaten to dox dissenters
- Corrupt, bribe or buy political, entertainment, media and sports figures by any means necessary
- Allegations against the opposition do not have to be true. They only need to: a) distract the gullibles from the truth of a situation; b) contribute to media talking points (Russia! Russia! Russia!); c) provide cover for the crimes that continue to line the pockets of the elites; and d) they should destabilize, demonize and obfuscate a rational consensus view.
- Finally, Divide and conquer. Exacerbate rational debate wherever possible through identity politics.
Contemporary politicians and activists practice: ‘Never let a good crisis go to waste’. A coalition of outside agitators, the race grievance industry and far left activists & politicians have used Black Lives Matters in a cynical ploy to destabilize society and effectively push to move the Overton Window to benefit a fringe constituency. They are facilitating a breakdown in our social order in order to achieve a radical transformation of society. Opportunist criminals are riding the wave to burn and loot. And the legacy media is largely running cover for them all, and demonizing dissenting views.
Unfortunately, the US Democrat party has been hijacked by this movement also, and has capitulated to unrelenting pressure by the leftists. It’s not radical, racist or white supremacy to see and say that the party has moved WAY to the left over the last 10-15 years. They have capitulated to loud, emotional young voices, most of whom are deluded about exactly who their masters are. In a need to inhibit the erosion of centrist democrats of all races, democrats have increased their convenient ‘racist!’ rhetoric, because nobody wants to be called racist. It is a stain easily believed by the unthinking masses, and not easily washed away. And this ‘Racist!’ rhetoric is effective in enabling the socialist and communist sub-groups to increase their power., as well as be an astonishingly successful fundraising vehicle for the Democrat party. This a critically important point that is finally getting some sunshine. If you follow Google’s link for Black Lives Matter, you’ll easily find the official BLM site. The talks of racial disparity, systemic racism, etc. and very pointedly encourages readers to: ‘Join the Movement to fight for Freedom, Liberation and Justice’. If you click on the ‘DONATE’ button, you’re taken to another site: http://actblue.com, which is a front for the Democrat National Committee and the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee. Unfortunately, you cannot find out actually how much money is being channeled to actual Black Lives, but you can do some research and find a list of the top ten recipients of contributions collected. They are all Democrat candidates for congress or the presidential primary. Cynical, but very clever. The dust has not yet settled on this, and when it does, and people really start examining it, the DNC’s biggest fear will rapidly accelerate, as much of Black America chooses in mass to question the narrative.
The narcissistic people who operate the levers of power don’t really mind this chicanery, as it only further cements their grip on power, and so their cynical game of cronyism, the theft of foreign aid funds and bribery by the lobbyists can continue.
To be clear, Antifa is an organization committed to the violent overthrow of the democratic nations of the west. Aided and abetted by a complicit main stream media, big tech / new media, deep state bureaucrats, major globalist corporations and their politician puppets in both parties. All in the name of the arrest of the populist uprising that began in earnest with the upset of their cozy orgy of greed and power by Brexit and the election of Trump.
Censorship by big tech media is growing, with seeming impunity. Mobs shout down cool, rational voices. Now, there are calls for eliminating the police and destruction of our second amendment rights. The handwriting is on the wall. They’ve declared war on a peaceful citizenry who support the rule of law and representational government. The leftists and globalist oligarchs building power in the US and Europe would rather rule over a smoking wasteland than allow the people to have objective news, or heaven forbid, self-rule.
Yes, there are problems in law enforcement everywhere. I have been abused by cops. I understand. And everywhere, some cops have abused their power. Let’s face it, many of the people who aspire to be cops are not the most exemplary of our species. Many cops deal everyday with the worst of our society, so who can blame them for becoming a bit jaded by their work? Their work puts them into a bubble and an echo chamber. Their experience reinforces their acquired contempt for the criminal class. They are taught techniques for physically dominating offenders in making arrests. They know that other less cautious brothers in blue have been hurt or killed in the line of duty, so they err on the side of quickly putting down opposition. For many, many interactions with offenders, what has been taught and what has worked has been formulaic and can be brutal. In this age of ubiquitous camera phones, as with Rodney King, George Floyd and others, this inflammatory video of the Minneapolis cop finds a welcome host in the media hungry to feed the news cycle and perpetuate their preferred narrative. There are many, many video snippets available that show the cool-headed rational approach to policing, and even some compassionate care of citizens, but you won’t find those on CNN or MSNBC, as it doesn’t support their bias-driven propaganda mission.
Noted that most violent crime in the big democrat-led cities across the US is black-on-black crime, how does defunding or eliminating the police support the victims of those crimes, and the families impacted by those crimes?
The Clinton, Bush and Obama tough-on-crime policies (when those policies were popular) reduced crime, but were ill-thought out and implemented by ambitious, mindless and/or corrupted bureaucrats. The result of years of draconian drug laws, authoritarian cops, ambitious prosecutors, ridiculous jail terms that serve a for-profit prison system has contributed to two generations of fatherless children raised in the streets by gangs and educated by an incompetent educational system governed not by results, but by a union motivated by tenure and control of pension funds and to driving a rising leftist political agenda.
It serves vile and cynical deep state interests to donate military training, tactics and equipment to small local police forces throughout the west. Police have abused their power. They are people. And like all people, they are flawed. They abuse their right to asset forfeiture to steal money and vehicles from innocent citizens with this very flawed law. They use physical force more often than is necessary. It is the accumulation of years of police abuse that now cries out for change to our policing policies. Hopefully, changes can come, but looting, arson, murder, elimination of the police or the violent suppression of free speech won’t get it done. We need some reform. There are successful models. We need to educate. We need to filter the police ranks to eliminate the sociopaths. We need to moderate the police unions’ ability to protect the repeat-offending cops. We need streaming body-cams, and to teach and require more compassion and de-escalation techniques and to remove some abused practices like choke holds and civil asset forfeiture. We need to control the distribution of weapons of war to police departments. We need to remind government that they work for us, not the other way around. But you can’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.
The search for truth is not easy. The media’s blatant bias is on full, unrestrained display. They make no efforts to disguise it anymore. It is filled with lies, and opinions masquerading as news. They have destroyed their own credibility, so people have dug up their news from other sources. Small independent journalists ARE the media now, and if you want the truth, you need to be discerning about your sources. Remarkable people are innovating how we create and consume information and the democratization of the news makes it possible to sort out stories that are unfiltered by various agendas. Here is a brief video that is more honestly instructive of the racial dynamic in the US than anything found on TV. It is a compendium of opinions of cool-headed people who have grown up in black America, and is worth watching and sharing. You can also find other, similar pieces on this website.
We stand at a crossroads now. We have an opportunity to pause and think. We cannot lose our humanity or be guilt-tripped or threatened into following mob rule and having our voices silenced at this critical time. We need MORE reasonable, rational thought and debate, not less. And we need the courage to say the unpopular truths and to call out mindless mob group-think for the propaganda that it is. We cannot be too lazy to think or to take personal responsibility for our choices, our actions and our lives and family members’ lives. We must stand up and be adults and make a stand for truth, justice and liberty or we lose them all.
I fully expect to be the subject of an emotional and full-throated rebuttal by folks who either stand to lose support for their own agenda or who are shaken by the emotional reaction to their cognitive dissonance as they’re faced with facts that challenge their long-standing beliefs. I am accustomed to being attacked for my views. But if you try to shout me down or call me names because I’m suggesting that we should have an honest and respectful debate about the damage that media propaganda, demagoguery, violence and the suppression of rights is causing to our society, then you’re part of the problem, not the solution, and you have just undermined and invalidated the legitimacy of your own views and arguments.
