Jackson Browne has been a very favorite songwriter and performer since I first heard one of his songs in 1972. ‘For Everyman’ was his second released LP (before CDs, cassette tapes and eight track tapes, we had 33.33 RPM vinyl records. Sheesh, that makes me feel really old all of a sudden.).

The opening track was ‘Take it Easy’, followed by ‘Our Lady of the Well’. In the original LP, as the opening song concludes, instead of it just ending, one of the most brilliant pieces of craftsmanship can be heard as Sneaky Pete Kleinow plays Jackson’s seque sequence on pedal steel guitar. You can hear the tempo and keys change as the song transitions and Jackson softly and elegantly begins ‘Our Lady of the Well’ on acoustic guitar. Take a few minutes to listen and appreciate some of my favorite music. If you like it, let me know and I’ll upload some more.

A side note: In the worst kind of travesty in the name of convenience, in the digital releases on tape and CD, the seque is broken in two!
